Post with final reflection on project

It's the end, and it's all wrapped up, we're finishing up the final retouches of the opening film and we plan on submitting it tomorrow. The CCR's were pretty fun to film and edit and so was the opening film. I learned a lot from this project, some that I say on my CCR's. The acting and just in all use of the angles and shots was very fun and helpful to learn. For someone who is interested in all of this for their future, they would love this project, I loved the process, the working with my friends and the teamwork in all.

I worked with an amazing team, they new way more than me and new more about how to make a scene better with the shots that we used. They also taught me a lot about the lighting, how the lighting from simple candles could transmit to much of the message we want to give out. They were enthusiatic about it and wanted better from what we had. Scenes that could've been left simply, the made sure to turn them into something bigger, and better.

I also learnt a lot in editing, and fonts. The fonts played a big role, our teacher also taught us on how the font needs to pop up and be big, also the credit sequence. How to organize it and place it correctly onto the screen, in the right corners and in the right place. Editing is really important in a film, without editing our film wouldn't have turned out as we wanted it to come out to be. Adobe Premier was extremely helpful, the foley sounds also helped with making the sound in the scene be better. Lastly, the  music made by Juandi was and extreme help and I am more than happy and thankful with it. It really helped make our film better.

I'm very thankful for this opportunity, and couldn't be happier with the team I got to work with. My favorite part aside from working together had to be the acting, the bloopers were the best and when I got the right and perfect scene the feeling was amazing. It's officially the end to this amazing project. Hope you enjoy the final product. See ya later! ;)

Post about post-production of CCRs

As I said on my last blog post, the filming of my CCR's was somewhat stressful but also fun, I enjoyed it and had a lot of fun with my friends. The editing was simple, there wasn't much. I just had to but the clips together that were cut and upload the mutli media onto the videos. It simple and easy, there wasn't much to edit too. For the podcast I had to make a fake sponsorship, I used canva for it and for the animations. It was fun to make and this is how it turned out with he animations included.

Then, came the uploading. I initially uploaded all my video to Youtube, but I wasn't very sure of it. I new the best option was google drive but my storage didn't want to help and wasn't letting me upload them so I gave up. I worked with what I had until I have it another shot before submitting everything and it worked. I was so thankful and I used the google links as backups just in case.

Post about production of CCRs

I finished filming! the process was long and a little stressful since there were some throwbacks and difficulties in the process, but entirely it went great and we had a lot of fun. The first CCR came with many problems, The second CCR came with even more, but at the end we made it work.

Before hand, I decided to order mics for my CCR's I wanted the audio to be perfect for the second CCR since it was a podcast, and for the first CCR I ordered a fake mic that was made to look like a news or paparazzi mic. These are the ones i ordered.

For my first CCR the initial idea was to film the paparazzi coming up to me and asking me questions, but its didn't turn out exactly like that. I had initially told 4 friends to come and help me film, they just needed to have their hands extended out hold a single mic. The problem was that only 1 was able to show up, for the rest their plans and rides got in the way. So, i simply decided to just have my best friend be the one to film and the one to ask me the questions.

My second problem was that in the plan I was supposed to get into my car as I left my house and they came after me asking me questions before I entered my car, and in my car I would wrap up the questions and say bye. The problem was my parents had taken the cars, there were no cars since I was home alone so we had to switch it up. We thought of many ideas and ended up doing the least creative one unfortunantlly, which was basically me leaving my house to go on a walk and on the walk I would get questions asked. It took us time but it worked just fine.

It took us many shots and retries to get the perfect scenes, but finally with some retouch editing everything came out great.

Lastly, for my second CCR, there were more complications but this one came out to be more fun. Initially, the mic I had ordered was going to be used and also another 2 mics I had with a big speaker that would reflect of them and would be placed next to the camera on the tripod. On our way to the office were we filmed we realized I had left the speaker, we had to turn back and get it. It took time away from us but we still had some left.

Once in everything was setup I went to connect the podcast mic to the phone and the adapter broke. This threw up back like crazy, we needed a new adapted or else it would've been impossible to get the audio to sound right. We found another adapter thankfully, since we were in an office they lent us one. We got to filming and this was the set up.

After finishing both me and my best friends podcast, we got to editing, I edited the "sponsership" which was fake and made up.

Editing was fun and so was filming, it felt like we were in an actual podcast. Finally filming overall came with some technical difficulties but was fun and an experiance I really enjoyed.

Research and/or script for #4 question of CCR post

My 4th CCR question which covers the last half of the podcast is "How did you integrate technologies-software, hardware, and online-in this project"

The script follows with me saying " We integrated a lot of technologies when it came to editing, saving and recording the videos and including sounds like foley sounds, also when recording with our camera and the lighting (apart from the candles) that we used."

Like I mentioned I don't have much time so for the podcast the answers are short and easy, depending on how editing turns out I'll wake it longer.

Research and/or script for #3 question of CCR post

My second CCR posting is the podcast idea for which I'm excited for, I have planned out the setting and the materials I'm going to use. The question I'm answering for the first part of my podcast is "How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?"

My script after the question is asked by the host is the following, "Our film engages with the audience as we gave them that genre many like, the typical thriller suspense genre of the killer and the victim. It is also distributed as a real media text when it represents an act that could happen in real life or has happened before, the toxic relationship that signifies of one partner or both being 'crazy'. It would be distributed through platforms like streaming platforms"

For this part of my CCR I'm trying to make it short since i only have around 5-6 minutes and also have another question to answer, plus the advertisments and welcome.

Research and/or script for #2 question of CCR post

As mentioned in my past blogs, I had some ideas for my CCR. I tried filming the karaoke carpool idea but it didn't work. The set up was complicated, the lighting wasn't good, and in all it wasn't interesting, so I decided to go with another idea. Which was the paparazzi idea, basically I would be leaving a place and the "paparazzi" would come to me and ask me questions.

In this CCR I will be answering the questions "How does your product use or challenge conventions and How does it represent social groups or issues?" and " How did your production skills develop through out this project?" I felt this was the better order to go with.

For my first questions, "How does your product use or challenge conventions and How does it represent social groups or issues?". My planned script so far is "The film challenges conventions by including "the killer" or "the victim", also by such big plot it has. On the other hand it represents social groups or issues when it shows the main character being an obsessive intense character, also to those who love seeing the act of suspense and thriller on TV. Lastly, the biggest issue it represents is of those who are in a toxic relationship with partners or themselves who don't control themselves."

For my second question, "How did your production skills develop through out this project?", I have planned say "I learned a lot, a lot to do with facial expressions being key to a film, specially when there are scenes were there is no dialogue, I also learned a lot about lighting and how angles are key to the production and plot of a film"

I have yet to improvise more and do a bit more research but this is what i have so far.
